Mapping HotelBeds in YieldPlanet
Overview
This guide explains how to map your Hotelbeds rooms and rate plans within the YieldPlanet channel manager after the connection has been established and data downloaded. This process ensures that your inventory and pricing are correctly synchronized between Hotelbeds and YieldPlanet.
Instructions
- Before proceeding, ensure that the Hotelbeds connection has been established by the support team and that all rooms and rate plans have been downloaded. If you create new rooms or rates in Hotelbeds, you must contact support to have them updated in YieldPlanet.
- Navigate to Setup.
- Select Mapping Table.
- On the Mapping Table page, click on the Hotelbeds channel.
- You will see that the mapping table is empty. Click on Add new mapping.
- A new window will open. In this window, you must relate the "Hotel room”, which is the room created in YieldPlanet with the "Partner room”, from the Hotelbeds channel.
- Repeat the process for all rooms and the rate plans created by clicking on "save and add next".
- Once all rooms and rate plans are mapped, inform the support team so they can activate the connection and perform a resubmit of your data.

Activating HotelBeds in YieldPlanet
Go to dashboard and click yellow HotelBeds icon located in Channel Healthsection.
It will turn blue indicating that channel is activated.
Understanding HotelBeds Cost Breakdown (CBD) Pricing in YieldPlanet
Overview
This article addresses discrepancies between the daily price displayed for Hotelbeds reservations in YieldPlanet (YP) and the actual amount to be charged. This issue is related to Hotelbeds' Cost Breakdown (CBD) scheme.
YieldPlanet displays the rates exactly as received from Hotelbeds. There are no internal settings within YP that can toggle the display between gross (daily price) and net (amount to be charged) rates. The behavior is dictated by whether the Cost Breakdown (CBD) scheme is active for your property with Hotelbeds.
Instructions
- Identify the discrepancy: If the daily price displayed in YieldPlanet differs significantly from the total amount to be charged, it indicates a potential issue with Cost Breakdown (CBD) activation.
- Understand Cost Breakdown (CBD): CBD reservations are prepaid Hotelbeds bookings where YieldPlanet receives and saves net rates. This allows hoteliers to invoice Hotelbeds directly with the net value, eliminating the need for manual commission calculations.
- Contact Hotelbeds Account Manager:
- If your property is experiencing this discrepancy and you wish to display net rates directly in YieldPlanet, you must contact your assigned Hotelbeds Account Manager.
- Inquire about activating the Cost Breakdown (CBD) scheme for your specific property and contract.
- Note: Hotelbeds supports CBD reservations only in selected regions, markets, and properties.
- Verify CBD activation and perform a test booking:
- If Hotelbeds confirms that CBD is already activated for your property, but the discrepancy persists, ask your Hotelbeds Account Manager to perform a test booking.
- This will help confirm whether the correct net rates are being transmitted from Hotelbeds and displayed accurately in YieldPlanet.
Troubleshooting
- Issue: YieldPlanet displays a gross rate (higher amount) instead of the expected net rate (lower amount) for Hotelbeds bookings.
- Resolution: YieldPlanet displays the data as provided by Hotelbeds. There are no settings in YP to change this display. The solution lies in activating the Cost Breakdown (CBD) scheme with Hotelbeds directly.
- Issue: Cost Breakdown (CBD) is not available for my property.
- Resolution: If your property does not qualify for or cannot activate the CBD scheme with Hotelbeds, you will need to continue calculating net rates manually for invoicing purposes. Discuss alternative solutions with your Hotelbeds Account Manager.
- New rooms/rates not appearing: If you create new rooms or rate plans directly in the Hotelbeds channel, they will not automatically appear in YieldPlanet for mapping. You must contact YieldPlanet support to request an update/download of these new items.
