This article explains how to resolve issues with Room Group Mapping not functioning correctly for Booking.com connections. When Room Group Mapping is enabled, it is crucial to ensure that the "Max Allotment" setting is disabled for the respective connection. Disabling "Max Allotment" allows the system to send collective allotment from mapped rooms to the main room, while managing open/close statuses at the rate plan level.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Setup section.
  2. Select Partners.
  3. Locate and select the specific connection for Booking.com.
  4. Within the connection settings, find the option for Max allotment at room level.
  5. Disable the Max Allotment setting for this connection.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. Once disabled, Room Group Mapping should function correctly for your Booking.com connection.

Troubleshooting

  • Understanding Allotment Behavior with Disabled Max Allotment: If a hotel has multiple rate plans (e.g., BAR and Non-Refundable) and the Non-Refundable rate plan is closed, the system will send the collective allotment at the room level. The open/close status will be managed at the individual rate plan level. This means BAR should remain open, and Non-Refundable will be closed, without affecting the overall room allotment sent.
  • Intermittent Room Selection Issues: If you experience issues where you can sometimes select additional rooms and then not anymore, hover your mouse over any grayed-out checkboxes to see if a tooltip provides additional information or reasons for the restriction.
