Find out how to enable automatic price adjustments based on your comp price rules, as default. If you enable this feature, Price Optimizer will automatically change prices according to the recommendations based on your comp price rules. In the Price Control menu, you still have the option to deactivate the automatic price changes for individual days or for a longer period.
- Click on the hamburger icon and choose the Configuration menu. Go to Rules and choose “Adjustment Rules”
- In the section “Competition settings” click on: “is active” to enable the automatic price adjustments.
Maximum price level adjustment. Please enter how many price levels can be changed automatically by the system.
Note:
As our Comp price adjustments are just a part of Price Optimizer’s calculation, we recommend to allow the system a price change of max 2 or 3 levels. This decision also depends on your price lists. If there are small price jumps in the price levels you can allow the system to adjust also more price levels (e.g 3 or 5 levels).
Automatic price adjustments are now visible in the Price Control Section as black arrows. Each arrow stands for 1 price level. (1 arrow up/down = 1 price level up/down, 3 arrows up/down = 3 or more price levels up/down)
On the right side you find the additional information about how many price levels have been increased or decreased.
To deactivate the automatic price change for the date chosen and for all room types affected, please click on the following sign and confirm your action with “Apply Changes”
To deactivate the automatic price change for an individual room type, or room type group, click directly in the field showing the number of price level changes and confirm your action with “Apply Changes”
To deactivate automatic price changes for a period, please choose Multi-Day
Choose a period:
In the Column “Competition Price Level” please choose one of the following options for either ALL Room Types or for Individual Room Types:
No change: No changes at all will be made for the rooms selected and for the period set above.
Activate all: Automatic price changes will be activated for the period set above
Disable all: Automatic price changes will be deactivated for the period set above. And the system will just do recommendations for price changes (with dotted arrows).
Continue your settings, clicking on “Next” at the bottom right side. On the next page you have the chance to double check again your settings before saving them. Confirm your settings clicking on “Apply changes”.
