The "Settings" module serves as the primary configuration area when you first create your account. Use this section to define property details, financial baselines, and automated inventory behaviors. Configuring these settings accurately ensures system notifications reach the correct recipients and reservation data aligns with the local time zone.
Settings Navigation
Access the "Settings" module immediately after account activation to enter essential property data. Clicking Settings opens a submenu in the top-left corner containing the following categories:
- Name and Address
- Contact Person
- Currency and Defaults
- Reservations Settings
- Alerts
- Services & Features
Name and Address
The Name and Address section defines the core identity of the property within the Channel Manager.
- Essential Data: Enter the property name, physical address, email address, and phone number.
- Notification Reliability: System notifications are sent to the email address, so verify this address to avoid missing important updates.
- Localization: Select your interface language and time zone to ensure reservation history reflects your local time.

Contact Person
The Contact Person section stores details for the designated individual YieldPlanet communicates with regarding major events or decision requests.

Currency and Defaults
The Currency and Defaults section establishes the financial baseline for the property.
- Property Categorization: Defines how the property is classified within the system.
- Calendar Defaults: Sets the default currency, identification of weekend days, and VAT configuration (for viewing purposes only).
- Data Default Settings: Controls default settings for data management panels within the Channel Manager.
Reservations Settings
The Reservations Settings section manages centralized allotment, which automates inventory adjustments based on booking activity.
This automatically decreases room availability upon receipt of new reservations and returns rooms to the inventory when reservations are canceled.
You can modify the behavior based on distribution preferences (e.g., disabling the automatic return of canceled rooms to the system). 
Alerts
The Alerts section defines specific recipients for automated email notifications.
You can designate different email addresses for specific notification types. If no specific addresses are provided in this section, the system defaults to the email address stored in the "Name & Address" section.

Services & Features
The Services & Features section provides a real-time overview of all active services and modules currently active under the property's YieldPlanet subscription.
GDPR / RODO
The GDPR / RODO section manages personal data retention policies for guest reservations in accordance with regulations governing the protection and erasure of personal data.
You can set preferences for erasing personal data according to the reservation check-out date. If you select Default protection, data will be erased three years after check-out.
